When working in a steel fabrication shop right out of high school I learned that stainless steel doesn’t mean the steel will never rust, it simply means it will rust less than regular steel.
So many times we devalue our compassion, careers, and contributions to society as useless. If the steel is placed in the right environment, treated properly and cared for it will not rust in a lifetime. The same goes with our seemingly useless attributes, when exposed to the right setting, the right people, the right circumstances, our life’s value is not useless but limitless.
Ask God to place and keep you in the place He wants you to be. There you will find lasting fulfillment.
Welcome to REV'D
As I sat patiently watching a train pass I noticed that the majority of the cars had been “tagged” with graffiti. I began wondering why we humans feel so strongly that we must leave our mark on this world. What I came up with is it is because we need to let people know we were here.
Walking through a grave yard I noticed the dates on a tombstone; 1927-1990. For many the mark we leave is the dash between two dates.
Maybe that is what this blog is about . . . leaving my mark somehow.
